Almond oil – an all-rounder
What makes almond oil so great that you should include it in your beard oil formula? We’ll tell you why Beard Oils with Almond are so great: after all, almonds aren’t just delicious and healthy. It’s also a real stunner when it comes to skin and beard care. Learn everything you need to know in our blog:
The oil is pressed from the ripe almond kernels of the sweet almond tree, extracted and refined. That about wraps it up.
The history of this great natural product goes way back in time:
The almond tree is a cultivated plant with a history that goes back more than 4000 years. Even the ancients appreciated the precious vegetable oil. Cleopatra already knew that almond oil nourishes the skin. The queen of Egypt reportedly enjoyed regular baths with the vegetable oil to keep her skin soft and beautiful.
But what exactly does almond oil do and why should it be in beard oil?
Soothing sweet almond oil is rich in fatty acids, especially oleic acid (omega-9), and contains the natural antioxidant vitamin E.
Almond oil is great for moisturizing – all over your body, by the way – like Cleopatra. It nourishes your skin and makes it look radiant and healthy. With regular use, it leads to an improved complexion as it moisturizes and softens the skin. At the same time, it absorbs well into the skin. On top of that, it is suitable for most skin types especially normal, dry and sensitive skin. Your skin becomes wonderfully soft and supple.
Almond oil is not only good for your skin, but also for your beard hair:
- Your beard becomes softer and gets a beautiful, natural shine.
- Your beard growth is stimulated by the vitamins of almond oil in a natural way
- Your skin under the beard gets the care and nutrients it needs
In combination with jojoba, argan and hemp seed oil, you basically have the Fantastic 4 of beard and face care in your team. Still a nice scent to it and your beard oil formula is complete.
My formula with almond oil looks like this:
- Jojoba – 12 ml
- Almond – 9.0 ml
- Argan – 7.5 ml
- Hemp Seed – 1.5 ml
To 30 ml of beard oil, you can add a good 1 ml of essential oils for an individual scent. This is equivalent to about 20 drops. I suggest this combination with classic 3-5-2 mixing ratio:
- Bergamot – 6 drops
- Lavender – 10 drops
- Sandalwood – 4 drops
